20 Year D/s Anniversary - Serving Mistress Mercury Guidelines - by ken say

At the request of Mistress Mercury, I am pleased to report on the guidelines and practices that I have followed in respect to the Mistress (M)/ slave (s) relationship existing between us.
To set the scene, the M/s relationship has operated over many years commencing shortly after we met in 2002. Mistress decided that I was a suitable person to serve Her and I was honoured and excited to take up that role.

There was no formal contractual or collaring arrangement involved. The clear understanding was that a M/s arrangement existed and this essentially meant that the slave would perform the tasks or duties allocated by Mistress to the best of his ability. There has been no limitation of the tasks the s might be required to perform. Chauffeuring and domestic duties have been by far the most common. Domestic tasks have included gardening, washing, ironing, sewing, cleaning, making her bed, polishing her shoes, and preparing meals. Other tasks included researching a particular topic for Mistress, shopping, postal and running small errands.

To ensure that the relationship runs as smoothly as possible, the slave has endeavoured to adhere to a number of practices and guidelines in relation to the tasks and to providing service to Mistress. These include:

1. Just Do It - The Nike motto can be applied in a number of ways but basically it provides a focus that the task be approached positively, that it be done as soon as possible and to a high standard.

2. Ensure that before commencing a task, all details are clearly understood. If doubt exists to seek clarification from Mistress. Listen carefully to instructions.

3. Plan ahead – this applies particularly with chauffeuring duties where it is important to become familiar with the route, approximate time of the proposed journey and the destination beforehand.

4. Do not be hesitant to exercise one’s discretion. Nevertheless if a mishap occurs (and this will inevitably happen), report the situation to Mistress immediately.

5. Because of the special relationship existing, the slave must be always be discreet in respect to matters relating to Mistress’s privacy.

6. slave must always be alert to the fact there will be occasions when Mistress looks for quiet times to relax, have time-out, attend to matters of privacy etc.

7. slave is to ensure that he is always respectful to Mistress’s guests and friends.

8. If Mistress sees fit to admonish or punish her slave, do not dwell negatively on the incident. Do not look at it in terms of unfair treatment. Learn from it.

9. At the same time, be aware that open communication is always paramount. Should something cause trouble, slave should seek permission to discuss it.

10. Where possible (whilst always being aware of his commitments and responsibilities), slave to take a relaxed approach to the relationship and to enjoy the ride.

As a general rule, be conscious of the fact that a happy Mistress equals a happy slave.

Summary

As indicated, the Mistress/slave relationship between the two people has operated over a number of years. It has always been stable and has continued to evolve, which is very positive. The slave believes that this has resulted from the facts it was built on solid foundations and the desire of both parties to make it work. The operating guidelines have been essential to keep it firmly on track.

The slave would acknowledge that at times his role has not always been easy. Hard work is often involved. That is of course part and parcel of being a slave. But the journey and rewards have more than made up for it - by far. The slave has been very privileged to enjoy Mistress’s company, her wisdom, training, advice, kindness and support, in particular where it relates to improving the slave’s well-being.

This slave deeply respects Mistress Mercury and is very proud to take the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment of service to Her.

Dutifully reported,
slave ken say
